Dr. Christopher A. Gencheff, MD has specialized in the medical treatment and surgical correction of hair loss since 1981. Over the past 23 years, he has personally performed over 15,000 procedures and transplanted millions of grafts. He is one of the most experienced hair restoration surgeons in the Midwest and among the top nationwide.

Dr. Gencheff was one of the 27 initial surgeons in North America to be Board Certified in all modalities of hair transplantation by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. In addition to his extensive surgical practice, since 1993 Dr. Gencheff has been a Clinical Research Investigator with Merck Pharmaceuticals involved in the clinical trial studies of Propecia. He has co-authored "Effects of Finasteride on Dihydrotestosterone Content of Scalp Skin in Men with Male Pattern Baldness" and "Finasteride in the Treatment of Men with Androgenetic Alopecia." He also lectures on all aspects of hair loss and solutions as well as teaches physicians the hair restoration techniques.

Madison Hair Transplant Clinic has offices in MADISON, MILWAUKEE and CHICAGO. Our patients come to MHTC mainly as a result of referrals from physicians or other patients. Dr. Gencheff and MHTC have earned a strong national and international following. This reputation has been gained as a result of Dr. Gencheff's caring attention to detail and the superb results he has consistently produced for his patients.

Dr. Gencheff maintains medical licenses for the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri and Ohio. Over the past 23 years, he has been very active in meetings and seminars for various medical organizations such as: American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, American Hair Loss Council and the American Academy of Aesthetic and Restorative Surgery.
